SPACEWATCH® discovery of 1997 XF11

The three images above show the asteroid's movement among the background stars. 1997 XF₁₁ is the small black dot that moves from left to right during time (about 1/2 hour between frames).

As stated in the following Minor Planet Center Press Release, this Apollo (discovered by Jim Scotti on 1997 December 6) will make a close approach to the Earth on October 26, 2028.
